School Council
Each class nominates a class representative to be put forward for a whole-school vote. Once these nominations are collated, students are grouped into their respective pathways so the entire school can vote for their pathway's School Council representatives. Every student has the opportunity to cast a vote, and the final results are announced in assembly once they have been counted and verified.
School Captains are selected from the Year 14's. Post-16 students and School Council representatives vote for who they would like to be School Captains. Two School Captains are chosen from the MPA site and two from the ML site; these captains also attend all School Council meetings.
The School Council meets termly to discuss a variety of topics, including staff initiatives and upcoming events. They also finalise the assembly song and dance, taking into account both class votes and individual School Council preferences.
