Community Partnerships

Charlton Athletic

We are delighted to work in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust, an organisation that is famed for its work in its local communities and has scooped numerous prestigious industry awards over recent years.

Stephen and Billy provide a wide range of multi-sports including football, tennis, hockey, basketball, indoor beach ball, boccia and a variety of homemade games. They are skilled at adapting the learning to meet all our students’ needs and the students really enjoy learning from them. They also run a lunch time club once a week.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust also provide a short breaks service in the half term holidays. Referrals are made through Bexley Children with Disabilities Team. For further information please contact the CWDT directly of contact steven.Bannan@cact.org.uk or call 07984 732 506.

Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School

Our Marlborough Legacy site is based on Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School and we are very proud of our close partnership. We have been based on this site since 2008. We moved to our brand new building, The Legacy Building in 2016.

As part of the partnership, students from the Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School Post 16 department join our Legacy students for lunchtime clubs. These students have also had the opportunity to take part in joint projects and events with students from Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School, such as sports day.

Bexley Grammar School

Marlborough School and Bexley Grammar School Music department have worked together on shared projects for nearly 10 years.  It has provided amazing peer to peer working and the Bexley Grammar Choir continue to support events such as our annual Marlborough Carol Concert.

Danson Sports Football Club

Danson Sports Football Club continues to support our students to undertake weekly work experience in the community.  Tasks range from litter picking to restocking refreshments.  This valuable experience enables our students to develop hands-on world of work skills.

The Old English Garden Volunteer Group

Our students participate in a volunteer role supporting the Old English Garden Volunteer Group to maintain the Old English Garden at Danson Park.  Roles vary dependent on weather and season but students have enjoyed support the group by navigating tasks and using tools to improve areas of the garden.
